The Midnapore Irish Dancing Association (MIDA) was established as a not-for-profit organization on April 22, 1987, and is incorporated under the Societies Act of the Province of Alberta. Its primary function is to enable revenue-generating activities through the efforts and participation of its members for the continued instruction and enhancement of skills related to Irish Dancing.
Although MIDA is a separate entity with an elected executive to oversee the efficiencies of expenditures and reporting, and financial budgeting and direction, it works harmoniously with the director of The Irwin School of Irish Dancing to ensure the best possible development of its members' student dancers.
MIDA promotes excellence in achievement of these dancers and is committed fully to supporting the financial requirements, where possible, to allow participation at higher level Irish Dance competitions when merit dictates.
